About Me

Hi, I’m Heather Brannelly,

My mission is to guide individuals in exploring consciousness, inner wisdom, and personal meaning through compassionate, experiential practices that honor both scientific inquiry and the mystery of human experience.

My fascination with consciousness began long before I became a therapist. Since I was young, I have carried a deep sense of wonderment about existence—a curiosity that eventually led me to earn my Bachelor’s in Religion and Psychology from Syracuse University and my Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University. My study of religion was driven less by the search for a single truth and more by an interest in how different cultures throughout history have interpreted transcendence and reality. I’ve long been fascinated by how different traditions often describe related human experiences through their own unique symbolic frameworks.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) since 2021, I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating everything from trauma, grief, and life transitions to neurodivergence and chronic health conditions. Alongside my clinical training, I’ve dedicated much of my life to studying contemplative practices, meditation, hypnotherapy, and complementary approaches to healing.

Rather than searching for simple answers or offering fixed dogmas, I see therapy as a collaborative exploration. I don't claim to have definitive answers about the nature of consciousness—instead, I aim to offer a grounded, humble space where we can ask deeper questions together.

What You Won’t Find Here My personal beliefs do not define or direct your journey. Whether your perspective is scientific, religious, spiritual, skeptical, or simply curious, you are welcome here. You do not need to share my worldview or adopt any particular belief system to engage in this work; my role is simply to provide a supportive container for your own discovery.

Beyond the Practice Outside of my clinical work, I stay connected to that same sense of wonderment through nature, creative expression, and lifelong learning. You can usually find me outdoors hiking with my two dogs—Gunther, a Pit Bull mix, and Calli, a German Shepherd–Husky mix—or spending time on fiber arts and painting. For me, creativity and nature are quiet, steady teachers that remind me to remain present, open, and grateful for the depth of human experience.
